just back from an extremely long, needed and excellent 4 days. i think that truly, truly it was everything that i needed to put things in perspective and to... find myself again i s'pose. the silence and personal space while still being together was really, really, really nice. to be able to just be alone but know that you're not (as weird as that sounds)... very refreshing. it allowed me to think about all the things that have been going on, my priorities, why i was acting and reacting as such. and i needed that. just getting away from the chaos of the 'outside world' was amazing. readings over mealtime as well. it was a new experience and i think it was really nice :) the reflections bit was also really good i think. through it i guess it gave all of us the opportunity to get to know each other a lot better, cos sharings were a lot more personal than usual. as corny as it sounds, i really think that it helped to strenghten bonds. the recon and subsequent affirmation sessions were.. wow. haha. with the recon sessions.. many things were brought up and for me it was interesting to see how people viewed me. some views were super accurate but others totally off. it was interesting. but with this i hope that we all get to grow individually and as a group. eye opening is all i have to say, really. affirmation sessions went through the night for me. (cos i was lazy to write warm fuzzies. hee.) but it really, really allowed me to get to know a lot of people better. just talking to them and seeing reasons behind actions or just their different personalities. it was nice. oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN SEETOH. I HEART YOU AGAIN (((: spent the rest of the time laming around and playing bridge and other stupid card games or pen games or sheep chicken pig games. hahaha. so amusing. oh yes. and went to holy family church. hmmmm. interesting. then we had our annual bbq. hahah. food was good, gossip was great. :) all in all, i didn't wanna leave but yeah, guess was inevitable. but, i have a blast. -smiles. lots of laughs and good times.
came back after our one hour 196 bus ride and then had to sorta rush back before meeting maine and mari and then gg for John's 21st. HAPPY 21ST JOHN!!! (((: wow. the whole wanting and OC kinda party, no doubt man. the marbella poolside was done up so gorgeously. WOWWOWWOW. i was really exhausted but it was still really fun just hanging out and making NEW BUDDIES! tim was super funny. NOT DRUNK at all !! pixiang too. DRINKING BUDDIES! maine, charleeeen. must catch up sometime. we have tonnes of gossip to exchange. nice long stories. frep was my armcandy for the night, who doubled as my stability while gg up and down stairs in HEELS. grrgrrgrrr. it's okay, cos we're JUST FRIENDS! saw lotsa hot sexy peoples yesyes? sam chui my new connected um. sexaay girl. yesyes (: lotsa high five, high ten-ing and drinking. peter was our table's drink maker. getting our table red and happy. hahhaa. got back abour 11+ + then stayed up with michy for our 4/5 day catchup talk. it was good (((:
now that i'm back, i honestly don't really like it all that much. but the real world is the real world. at least now i feel like my priorities are sorta more in order and i like it that way (: i'm thinking clearer than i have in a long time.
